Restart
C＞DEBUG↓ -A↓ XXXX:0100 XOR AX,AX↓ XXXX:0102 INT 19↓ XXXX:0104 ↓ -N,CQ.COM↓ -RCX↓ :4↓ -W↓ -Q↓ It only reloads the DOS system. Its advantage is that it can restart DOS directly without going through the hardware system initialization process, so it is the fastest. But sometimes it may not work. If any expert can adapt it into a more practical “reload DOS” program, please post it. |

When writing a program with debug, how do you determine the length to write into the program? (For example, how is the value after RCX determined?)

After running the program above, it shows " Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM : Failure ..." and then just stops. Any way around this?

One line is enough, just use INT 19H directly

If you call INT 19 directly, then what about the value in AX? Better initialize it first.

No, that's not right. The modified one he made doesn't require restarting the machine.
If you put this program on a bootable floppy, after booting copy this software to the hard disk, remove the floppy, run it, and the hard disk can boot directly, without going through the BIOS startup process, saving boot time!!! He modified the INT 19 call; this is not a simple INT 19 call. |

Better to use GRUB, it's the easiest to use:
root (hd0,0) chainloader +1 and that's OK. |
