I. Nature of the China DOS Union
The China DOS Union is a non-political, non-economic loose voluntary organization established spontaneously by DOS enthusiasts依托 the Internet, composed of each joining member (individuals and individual websites), aiming to study, promote, and develop DOS.
"China" here refers to a broad, non-political or regional concept. We welcome any DOS enthusiasts who use or understand Chinese to join. Of course, using non-Chinese languages is allowed without interfering with communication.
The DOS United Forum is the central base for the activities of union members. Basically, registered members of the forum are regarded as joining members.
II. Goals of the China DOS Union
The goal of the DOS Union is to publicize DOS, promote DOS, and promote the development of DOS in the Chinese world, and finally realize the development of computer applications and levels among Chinese people, so that computers can better serve our national interests. The China DOS Union does not exclude any non-DOS operating systems or any non-Chinese languages.
III. Relationship between the Union and Members
The relationship between the union and joining members (individuals or websites) is a loose cooperative relationship rather than a general subordinate relationship.
The union never seeks economic interests, and does not allow joining members to seek illegal economic interests or infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of others, and does not allow members to have words and deeds that violate laws and traditional morals. Members who seriously violate principles will be expelled and condemned. However, since the union has no real binding force on members, the union will not make any form of commitment or guarantee for the actions of any joining members at any time.
IV. Political and Legal Issues Related to Union Members
The China DOS Union is a non-political organization and does not seek any political interests, which is for security considerations.
The union does not inquire about the political positions of any members or non-members, and does not require members to agree or oppose certain political views in any way (explicitly or implicitly).
Therefore, based on the security reasons of the union, especially the forum, we require that the posts of members must not violate the laws and regulations of the Chinese mainland, and joining websites must not publish politically articles that seriously violate the laws and regulations of the mainland.
We very much hope that the DOS Union can achieve the goal of the second point. However, the primary condition is that it first exists. Please understand this, friends.
V. Code of Conduct among Members
In the China DOS Union, any member is equal. Members should respect and understand each other.
Moderators of the forum are served by enthusiastic enthusiasts, who voluntarily undertake various management tasks of the forum. Members who have any objections to the behavior of moderators can express their opinions in the specific community (Opinion Feedback & Netizen Communication).
Members who have the following behaviors will be regarded as unwelcome, and those who are serious will be subject to punishments such as post deletion, criticism, and ID blocking.
① Using uncivilized, immoral, or vulgar, rude language, and refusing to accept criticism and correction.
② Publishing articles and posts that seriously contradict the laws and regulations of the mainland, which may endanger the forum or even the safety of the union.
③ Using seriously insulting or discriminatory words against other members, or arbitrarily attacking and abusing other members, creating disharmony.
④ Deliberately using dialect words to boast about oneself, promoting localism, etc., with the suspicion of seriously insulting or discriminating against other members.
⑤ Posting too many and random posts, wasting resources.
⑥ Moderators abusing management power, deliberately targeting and suppressing other members.
⑦ Using various ways to seek improper political or economic interests for oneself by relying on the union, and damaging the reputation of the union.
⑧ Other behaviors that may endanger the safety of the union and the forum or create division.
VI. DOS Union and Copyright
The union acknowledges that it has cited materials or software without its own copyright, but states that it is not used for commercial purposes. If you think that the union or members have infringed your copyright by citing your software or materials, please contact the union. The union (or joining members) will delete them as soon as possible.
For software or materials with the union's own copyright, other individuals or websites are welcome to cite them, but they must be noted with the source.
VII. Management of the DOS Union (This has never been implemented, but is temporarily not changed)
The management of the union adopts the way of council management. 5-10 members are selected from joining individual members as council members to be responsible for the management and operation of the union. The council will handle divergent opinions according to the principle of minority submitting to the majority. Council members are re-elected by members every year.
VIII. Other Supplements
The DOS Union welcomes individuals, units, etc. to provide website space, FTP space, message boards, forums, etc. as non-monetary sponsorships for the union or members.
After reading this post, just abide by it, no need to reply. If there are replies, they will be deleted uniformly and points will be deducted. Thank you for your cooperation!
