Let's use the BenQ CD-ROM driver VIDE-CDD.SYS (supports most IDE CD-ROM drives) as an example.
Add a line in config.sys:
device(或devicehigh)=vide-cdd.sys /d:mscd001
The /d parameter gives the CD-ROM a name; MSCD000/001 are generic names.
Add a line in autoexec.bat:
lh mscdex.exe /d:mscd001
This way the CD-ROM can be loaded. You can also refer to the relevant entries on the WIN98 boot disk.
