Hello everyone, I'm a newbie at programming.....
I'd like to ask how to write a program under DOS to test the computer's COM1 or COM2....

What kind of test function do you want to accomplish? For example, checking whether these COM ports exist and displaying their IO addresses, etc.?

I remember there used to be a very famous program library called Async Professional. It included all Async (that is, COM) detection and usage routines. It was incredibly powerful!

Don't know whether it still exists...

Is it Turbo Power Async Professional?
I've used it, it's for Delphi, very powerful.
