After I installed DOS, XP's boot selection menu disappeared. Right now I can only enter DOS and can't enter XP. How do I restore the dual-boot menu?

The method from the poster above can only fix boot.ini; it simply cannot repair NT's boot sector, so it is definitely ineffective. I suggest the OP first explain carefully how you installed DOS.

If the OP did not format the partition where XP is located, you can use bootpart to repair NT's boot sector. Before repairing it, you need to save DOS's boot sector. You can also refer to this thread:

On the first screen of the WindowsXP installation CD, press R. After that it seems you still need to press R, then just select repair boot files, hehe---
