I have a project on the DOS6.22 platform. It needs to use a fairly large amount of memory. Now I need to add Ethernet functionality. I used WATTCP FTP, but found that this software needs 208K of memory, so there is not enough memory left. How can this problem be solved. I have already put everything that could be loaded high into high memory in CONFIG.SYS. Later I upgraded to DOS7.10, but still could not solve the problem. Under DOS6.22, when the project program calls FTP, it crashes. Under DOS7.10, it shows CPU ERROR: INCORRECT OPCODE, KILLING PROCESS. Sometimes it also reports ERROR # 0XAA ACCESSING PACKET DRIVER PROGRAM HALTED. The network card is D-LIKE DFE-530TX, and in CONFIG.SYS I wrote DEVICEHIGH=C:\RTSPKT\DLKEFT.SYS 0X60
Right now I just don't know what the cause is, so I'd like to ask an expert for some guidance. Many, many thanks. The project is urgent. This is my email: wmd@qware.com My MSN: wmdpeter@msn.com
