I remember it was 97 that started supporting FAT32, so if I install DOS71 first and then install 95, will it keep the FAT32 partition format? Because of this I've always been thinking whether to install 97 or 95. My old laptop is a pain for file transfer, and I still haven't gotten the system copied over yet.

Don't use the original Win95, it doesn't support FAT32 format. Win97 is what supports it.
