Right, Chinese localization really isn't as easy as some people think. Doing it under Windows is also possible, for example with software like WinHex, but it's still a bit complicated.

Using a hex editor directly for Chinese localization is really too troublesome, you have to search for the text strings one by one. Up to now, I still think using edit2 is the most convenient method I know of. But it's still very troublesome. The main problem is that compressed programs must be decompressed first. And a lot of programs are compressed! I originally wanted to make a fully Chinese MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk, but now it seems...

By the way, is Chinese-localized software less stable than the original software? I'm using the doslfn 0.39 you localized, and sometimes the screen gets garbled, the whole screen is full of junk characters. I suspect maybe the program contents are being displayed as text? Also, in the shsucdx 2.0 you localized, after /d you can't use the ? symbol.
