I am using DOS and the USB mouse is not working, which is very inconvenient. Can all you gentlemen tell us how to make a bootable USB disk that supports USB mice? It doesn't matter if the bootable disk has a large capacity. Because now floppy disks are not used anymore, and it's mainly about making an optical disc image. It would be best if there were ready-made ones.

Ordinary MOUSE.COM does not support USB, but CTMOUSE.COM in the MSDOS 7.1 boot disk can drive USB mice. Wengier has provided a ready-made boot disk image. Go to http://www.cn-dos.net/newdos/doswarea.htm to take a look.

If your BIOS supports it, ctmouse under DOS can drive it. Otherwise, you need to use ohci.exe or uhci.exe. You can download it from bootdisk.ys168.com.

How to know if the BIOS supports it? Is there a universal way to make it support all USB mice?

If you use my boot disk, it will automatically load the mouse driver CTMOUSE. If you can use a USB mouse under DOS, it means your BIOS supports it. Otherwise, it doesn't. You can only try UHCI.EXE or OHCI.EXE. There are no universal drivers.

The boot disk of Shenshan Hongye seems to be supported. You can give it a try. If it works, study how others implemented it by yourself and then use it in your own disk.
