Recently, the younger brother got a bootable CD. Looking at the boot screen, it is quite refreshing and clear,

I tried to use UltraISO to copy the boot files from it, and got a 10M bootable ISO. I tried to add some common software to this bootable ISO to make a CD by myself, and it was very successful! Now the problem is here, I want to modify some texts in this boot screen.


Open CHINA.BIN with Notepad


Found these Chinese characters in it,

②  返回DOS平台8 ③  从硬盘启动. 

⑤  重启动 run Gi30.img

Start the system!


After modifying and saving with Notepad, the system cannot boot anymore!

Can't use Notepad, use a hex editor, such as UltraEdit, HEdit, HexEdit, etc.... But don't change the size of the file. There aren't so many words to write 00 or 20, etc.

Notepad can only modify plain text files, while china.bin is a binary file and must be modified with hex editors such as Ultraedit, Hexedit, or Hex Workshop. When modifying, note that you cannot exceed the original string length. For example, "京龙数码科技精心制作系列" has 12 Chinese characters (i.e., 24 characters). When changing to other characters, it must not exceed 24 characters. And never arbitrarily delete any character. For example, if you change those 12 characters to "欢迎使用" (8 characters), then the remaining 16 characters will all be changed to spaces. What the person above said "write 00 or 20 is fine" means that both 00 and 20 are the hexadecimal values of blank characters. The interface of Ultraedit after opening the file is that the left is the hexadecimal value and the right is the corresponding character. The owner can directly modify in the character area on the right.
