Wengier Super Moderator, the Tianhui Chinese System 3.1 Pocket Edition 96-12-31 final version, when viewed with fi, I don't know what packer it is. Can you help me unpack it? I checked the tw3.2 from the download link provided, and it turns out that the content and size are exactly the same as the tw.exe (unmodified version) I saved before. It can be seen that my original one should also be the version from December 31, 1996.

Tianhui 3.1 Pocket Edition has three versions: 96-12-25, 96-12-31, and 96-12-31 (Final Edition), with 96-12-31 (Final Edition) being the last version. 1. When entering the DOS small window in Windows, generally, you need to first press <Ctrl>+F7 to switch back to the Western mode, then press <Alt>+<Enter> to enter the small window; but the Final Edition works normally in Windows 95 Chinese version. 2. The 96-12-25 Pocket Edition still has a conflict with DOS4GW when switching screens; 3. The 96-12-25 and the 96-12-31 version not marked as the Final Edition sometimes have a crash phenomenon when using tab character recognition in a relatively complicated Western software background under pure DOS EMM386 RAM or QEMM386 RAM mode. 4. Except for 96-12-31 (Final Edition), when opening multiple MSDOS in Windows 95 Chinese version, if one of the windows starts Chinese characters, the other screen displays abnormally. But there is no such problem with multiple 4-DOS windows. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to use 96-12-31 (Final Edition)! Yours is indeed not 96-12-31 (Final Edition)! Because yours (compressed) cannot run in VPC while the latter is completely normal. The TWAY.INI of 96-12-31 (Final Edition) is set as follows. Among them, the one you used is the widely spread TechWay ScS Diamond Mini Version 3.1, and in fact, it does belong to the version of 96-12-31, but it is not the final version. Then where can I find the TW version of the 1996-12-31 final edition? The file downloaded from the above address is exactly the same as the one currently in my computer (I have compared them using commands like FC, etc.).

Download the latest Super Emergency Disk v2005.02.16 including TW Computer Newspaper Special Edition (1997-01-01, 8:08), the LOGO has been removed, some text has been modified. Unpacked with UNP or PKLITE1.15, because when there is no hard disk, it always detects the C drive (a bug of TW), so use UEDIT to change C: to virtual disk X:, if necessary, can change back, or other drive letters. (tw is in tools.ex_, rename to tools.rar and then extract to get tw.exe)

Your version is the same as the one Wengier removed the logo from before, still based on TechWay ScS Diamond Mini Version 3.1. It can't run in virtual machine VPC. Wengier doesn't care, can you unpack the final version of the above address? Only the final version can run normally in VPC. Unfortunately, I can't unpack.

blue777: Please show me the TW from which you removed the logo that you think is not the final version (upload it or provide the download link), so that I can see if it's the version I made before. I don't have the modified version saved, and I can't remember the specific file details.

Wengier, the problem has been solved. I have used TRW to unpack the 96-12-31 final version of *LE {0_VXD} Win386 detected by FI. It is found that your 207,885-byte one is the 96-12-31 version, just packed with UPX v0.89.6-1.03. The reason it can't run in the virtual machine VPC is that it can't be compressed with UPX. The 96-12-31 version I provided with 206,544 bytes compressed with UPX v1.25 naturally can't run in VPC either. The unpacked final version is 369,366 bytes. Chen Jiangning used a *LE {0_VXD} Win386 to compress Tianhui and make it run normally in the virtual machine. Fortunately, I didn't waste time on the Xuexue forum. I haven't tried running these compressed things in VPC. I always think that if there are problems with running, it can only mean that it has poor compatibility by itself. VMware should have better compatibility, not to mention in the real machine.
