SRCTools 8K is a powerful command-line program for saving/restoring/checking boot sectors/MBR/FAT, with full FAT32 support. For example, using SRCBOOT C: CBOOT /S will save the boot sector contents of drive C to the file CBOOT; the /R option means restore, and the /C option means compare. For its specific usage, please see an article called "Using SRCTools, a Good Tool for Disk Maintenance" in the "DOS Articles" section. This is this year's latest version. Very practical!

The BOOTSECT.DOS backed up with BFHF, the small tool from DOS Home, is so different from the BOOTSECT.DOS that the system backed up by itself when installing XP. The one backed up by BFHF just can't boot, and the contents inside seem to be different too.

BFHF is a domestic program, and it's very hard to use, nowhere near as convenient as SRCTools.
