Moderator, I downloaded this software here and was planning to use it instead of smartdrv, but I don't know how to use it.
Please advise. Also, what is lbcahede for? |

LBACACHE is a hard disk cache program, but it isn't as fast as SMARTDRV, and it's also incompatible with it. I think PC-CACHE is actually very good, small and fast.

PC-CACHE is included in my MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk:
http://newdos.yginfo.net/dosware/mdos71bd.zip When booting, the system will prompt whether to run it automatically. |

Cpu error:incorrect opcode;killing the process.
This appeared when running the third option on your boot disk. Later I ran the first option again, and the above message didn't appear. So it seems it's not a CPU problem, and also not a Pc-cache problem. I'll take another look. |

It is a pc-cache problem! I've run into this too. Later I switched to version 9.0 and gathered all the files, and then it worked normally (I don't know whether it would also work without gathering all the files, because I didn't try). I'm uploading it here now.Open attachment
