I just did dual-boot on other computers like this. Just uploading BOOTSECT.DOS is not enough. Each system is not necessarily the same.

That tutorial was written by me. The BOOTPART there is not referring to SRC Tools, but another tool, which is also in my MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk. After booting the system with it, you can execute BOOTPART 2.5 using the BOOTPART command. And SRCFAT, SRCMBR, and SRCBOOT are the ones in SRC Tools.

You can directly use the WIN command to start Windows under pure DOS, as long as the path is set correctly. Anyway, that's what I do.
