Recently I installed Win2k and MS-DOS 7.1 on a P166 machine, but for some reason, most programs under DOS have this problem "cpu error: incorrect opcode. killing process." Under Win2k, there is "... an error occurred and will be closed by Windows, requiring a restart."
I took that hard drive to a PII 400 and it also had errors.
What is the reason for this and what should I do?
Also, I would like to ask how to adjust the large memory consumption, for example, to leave 32M out of 256M. It seems that RAMDrive can only use up to 32M at most.
