My system might have an issue. As soon as I plug in my network cable, all the computers in the dormitory get disconnected. Also, I want to reinstall the system. Now I have an SP2 disc. I once saw an article in Computer Fan that specifically introduced 80G hard disk partitioning, which said how many partitions to divide into and the size of each partition were calculated by formulas. Now I can't find that book, and I don't know where I put the notes I took. I searched online but couldn't find a relatively specific article on this. So I want to ask you all for help. I plan to format the disk in a couple of days. Thanks!

Partition methods are all at your own discretion, there's no such thing as the "most" scientific. What suits your needs is the best. To install XP, generally, the C drive is 5G, and the rest can be decided by yourself.

As long as you want, you can divide it however you like

I always install Windows to a partition other than drive C, and leave C as a very small FAT16 partition
