What command can be used under DOS to find the CD-ROM drive and set it to the variable CDROM? Please let me know, I would be extremely grateful.
I'm making a boot disk, but when it gets to finding the CD-ROM drive it never works. Using FINDCD -a|nset cdrom=$1 doesn't work either. What's the problem?

Just use the FINDCD command I made myself, and run it directly. It can find it on my homemade MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk:
