I work with networking, but in a cybercafe with hard disks, every time we update the system we have to use GHOST again to copy the prepared master disk. A few days ago I found some network disk-cloning software, but it requires running under DOS. After running it, it says the IPX protocol must be installed first.
Can anyone tell me how to install the IPX protocol under DOS? And if the cybercafe has more than one kind of network card, what should be done?

There is an even better method: GOHST6.03/6.3/7.5 all support TCP, IPX, and Multicasting. There are SERVER versions under DOS and under WIN. You only need to set up a SERVER on the host machine, and the client machines can restore the system over the network. There's no need to copy it over first and then restore it. One SERVER can handle multiple client machines restoring at the same time. This is much more efficient. GOHST itself has a tool for making boot disks (including networking and the required protocols), and it has dozens of drivers integrated in it. But it doesn't include the now very common 8029/8139 network cards. The network card driver should include a DOS packet driver; just add it into GHOST's driver library. -------When I say GHOST above, I mean the full version of GHOST. In many places online where you can download GHOST, they only provide a GHOST.EXE. Actually, GHOST is a tool collection.

Teamwork !
