I am a novice who got into computers halfway, and the XP operating system I use is also upgraded. I want to learn how to do a clean installation of the XP system under DOS. Just copy it into the boot disk? Don't you need to burn it? I downloaded a boot disk online, made it into a CD, and then booted from the CD. When I ran smartdrv.exe, it showed an error command. Does it mean I can only boot into DOS state from a floppy?
