I am a win2000 machine, and the administrator password is lost. My computer can't boot. I heard that there is a kind of DOS thing that can crack the administrator password. Can someone tell me what that DOS thing is? Thank you, everyone.

Is the system in FAT32 format?
When booting from the boot disk into the system, rename SAM in winnt\system32\config\SAM, SAM.log to SAM1, SAM.lo_
Or directly delete it! After restarting, the password of Administrator is empty.
If the system is NTFS
Use O&O Bluecon2000 : set the password of Administrator to 123456 or ERD Commander ...

Any computer that can boot up will do! Regardless of CD-ROM or floppy disk, boot to DOS, then: del c:\winnt\system32\config\sam and then restart the computer, log in with Administrator, and the password is empty. If it doesn't work, change the above to: del c:\winnt\system32\config\sam*.*
