If you don't know DOS commands, you can modify the registry under Windows.

Suggested title: What command can prevent Windows 98 from automatically starting programs? Answer: Programs that start automatically when Windows 98 boots are generally in these files: config.sys, autoexec.bat, winstart.bat, win.ini, system.ini, startup group, registry. You can control all these automatically starting programs through Win98's msconfig (Start -> Run -> msconfig).

If entering the system doesn't work, you can do this: Press Ctrl or F8 when booting, select Safe Mode, then use the Climbing method... If even Safe Mode can't be entered, you can try restoring the registry before installing this program: Press Ctrl or F8 when booting, select the Command... option, then scanreg /restore. If it's not there, you can try: Press Ctrl or F8 when booting, select... Step by step... After gradually selecting to enter the system, handle it in msconfig...

What I mean is: Windows 98 has been started and various programs have also been run, but I can't see this program when using Ctrl+Alt+Del to end the task. The machine has a restore wizard installed, and I don't want to modify it. As long as I find that command, I can make a batch file.

The following is the statement from pengdongsh on August 12, 2004, 23:22:33: I don't understand what program you want to end? You'd better say it clearly, so that everyone can think of a way. Now I suggest you change the title to: What command can end a certain hidden task running in the background of Win98? |

This ~ not under DOS, but in the terminal, the system process that was Killed: kill ... or kill -l You can use some process management software to kill what you want. Simply batch probably doesn't have the ability..

I have been answering questions patiently, but still can't prompt the thread starter to change the title as required. I think he doesn't respect others at all, so I don't plan to continue answering his questions anymore.
