Under Windows virtual DOS I can run and play music, but after it finishes playing, I don't know how to close that player under virtual DOS?
Please enlighten me, experts. I would be extremely grateful! Thanks a lot! |

What player? It doesn't return?
If nothing else works, Alt+Tab out of it, then right-click the DOS program -> Close. |

What I mean is this:
For example, under drive E there is a song like zz.mp3. After entering the Windows operating system, I type zz.mp3 at the command line in the DOS window. Then that song starts playing in Windows. But after the song finishes, that player still remains there as a window, not running anything (so it looks unpleasant to me, hehe, just kidding ^-^). So I'm wondering, is there any DOS command I can use in the DOS window to close that player??? I wonder if what I said is clear enough? You can also try it yourself. |

When you say this "virtual DOS," do you mean a "DOS window" or a "DOS virtual machine"?

It's a DOS window.

You might as well use the following commands to play MP3 files; after playback finishes they will automatically return to the DOS command line:
QV ZZ.MP3 or: MPXPLAY ZZ.MP3 or: CDP ZZ.MP3 etc... |

Oh, only CDP can play it. The others don't detect the SOUND CARD, so they can't play.
Thanks a lot. |

That just shows the BLASTER environment variable is not set correctly. The way is to use the sound card information shown by CDP to set the BLASTER environment variable, then QV and the others will also be able to play.

But when I run CDP, it doesn't show any sound card information?
With cdp 10.mp3, the information is as follows: Digital sound sriver:no sound Description: the sound of silence voices :0 midi nusic driver:no sound description:the sound of silence voices :0 device ststus word 0000000000000000 1.10.mp3 press -/+ to change the volume 1,volume is 255,0.29,layer:3,mpg-ver:1, stereo, playing 10.mp3 / This doesn't show any sound card information at all, does it? |

Doesn't this mean there is no sound card? Then set it up again.

First learn how to ask a question.
Change your post's title to something better. In the future, posts with titles like this may end up with only these three outcomes: 1。Nobody pays any attention to them. (This is the best case.) 2。They get moved to the off-topic section. 3。They get deleted. ======= It's not interesting at all. If you post thread titles like this again, we'll just have to delete them. |
