ACOPY.COM is a utility program developed in assembly language. Its function is that under real DOS it can copy files of any attributes as well as their long filenames. This means it can completely copy the WINDOWS operating system to another partition or hard disk for backup or use. It is a copying tool more powerful than the XCOPY that comes with WINDOWS. It can also burn WINDOWS onto a CD, and once the system has problems you can copy it directly back from the CD to the hard disk for use. But first you need to use ACOPY /C C:WINDOWS to create a long filename record file for WINDOWS before burning it to the CD. The difference between it and GHOST is that after GHOST restores a partition it will damage the original contents, while ACOPY only adds.

So it turns out to be a domestic program. Why is it that on most DOS websites in China you generally can't find DOS software from abroad from recent years?

Acopy doesn't seem as convenient as XCOPY. Maybe I just don't know how to use it. Could you explain how to use it?

I saw this acopy command on a pirated CD before, and used it too. It does have some use.

I'm using WIN98 now. I don't really have time to use DOS anymore...... But once my old machine is fixed, I'll definitely set one up with DOS to use..

Actually, just use the MS-DOS 7.10 that comes with Win98. It's very convenient; that's what I'm using.

Better to use the foreigners' XXcopy. It's the most powerful. There's also another xcopy that's very easy to use too, not the one under dos6.22 and not the one that comes with window either.
