I have a control program running under DOS 5.0 that uses the COM1 port. Now COM1 is damaged, and I want to redirect the input and output of COM1 to COM2. Since the vendor no longer supports the DOS environment, I can't get software for COM2.

Swapping the ports would work too, just set it in the BIOS.

That is, change COM1 to 2F8, and change COM2 to 3F8, and that will complete the swap between COM1 and COM2.
