Of course. Use CuteMouse, the best mouse driver under DOS.

I wonder whether CuteMouse also uses 33h?

Of course it does. I don't think there is any DOS mouse driver that doesn't use 33h, otherwise it wouldn't be compatible with all programs.

Then what is it better at than mouse.com or mouse.sys?

Better in these ways:
1: Fast (that's why it's called Cute Mouse; Cute means nimble, compact, smart);
2: Uses little memory (it only takes 3K of memory, while MOUSE.EXE and the like are much larger, practically a waste);
3: It's GNU GPL software, with all source code public;
4: It is still being continuously developed and improved;
5: The latest 2.0 version supports the mouse wheel function, which no other mouse driver supports.

But it can't be used in the Windows DOS Box

Good point, you mean in the DOS Box of Win3.x, right? Anyway, the source code is public, so it wouldn't hurt to improve it.

I'd like to ask, what does 33h mean?

33h is the mouse interrupt. That's a hardware low-level issue, ordinary users don't need to worry about it.

The MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk I made includes CuteMouse 1.9; just extract it and you'll get it.

It seems 2.0 is out now, but it's still not an official release.
