DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

After extracting the archive, there are the following files:
install.exe
DOSAPP directory
……………………………………
Under DOSAPP there are the following files
C3DMIX CO_
FIXEPIC EX_
SETAUDIO CO_
After I ran install.exe in real DOS mode
it added the following code to autoexec.bat
C:\PCIAUD\SETAUDIO
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H5 T4
C:\PCIAUD\C3DMIX /MFF000 /FFF000 /WFF000 /L00100 /E00100 /A00100 /C00100 /P00000 /400000 /R0f0ff /D040ff
But there is still no sound in real mode. I think maybe the parameters need to be reset?
Can anyone here with experience in this specifically explain how to load and configure CMI8x38 for DOS?

I ran into the same problem as the first reply. When I play "The Legend of Sword and Fairy" there is sound, but with any playback software under DOS I can't play sound files. Some say "no found sound card", and some just show a pile of information.
