Device driver not found: 'CDROM1' means there is no CD-ROM drive.

Error loading device driver PROTMAN.DOS probably means the network card driver is wrong.

Then first try this Packet driver and see whether it can install correctly (run it directly under DOS):
ftp://152.104.225.43/cn/nic/rtl8139abcd8130810xseries/pk-8139(340).zip

That thing has too many parameters, I can't use it—no, not can't use it, I just don't know how to use it,

So complicated? Dizzy... is there something simpler to start with? Starting out with high difficulty right away, looks like this still won't work!

Actually you don't need to teach me in such a complicated way, and you don't need to make any boot disk either. Just tell me how to load a network card under DOS, for example the configuration in CONFIG。SYS and AUTOEXEC。BAT. I believe a lot of people here don't know how to load a network card under DOS either. A lot of people maybe have some boot disk that can get online, but they may not necessarily know the process of loading the network card. Under DOS it should be very clear, right? It's just executable files, and it's single-tasking. So why is it that you answer this question and that question too, but you just can't answer one question thoroughly and clearly? It's always vague. There is a lot of material on your website, but a lot of it only talks in general terms.

Mine is RTL8139 too
If you want to get online, first run RTSPKT 0x60, then you can use network tools

Wengier already explained it very clearly

Wow, the net command can't be used for this
Try using LSL.COM NETX.EXE RTSODI.COM IPXODI.COM (they're on that Realtek floppy)
Load them in order: lsl rtsodi ipxodi

Or install MSClient; when configuring the network card, just pick one first, pick ne2000. If that isn't configured, then use the tools above. For example, if you install it under c:\net

Then copy the Rtsnd.dos file from this RTL8139 network card driver disk to the C:\NET directory of the disk-based DOS workstation.

Edit the C:\NET\system.ini file, and under its section change netcard=ne2000.dos to the new content netcard=rtsnd.dos.

Edit the C:\NET\protocol.ini file, and under its section change DriverName=MS2000$ to the new content DriverName=RTSND$.

??? Then where did your net command come from? I haven't used dos6.2

I'm using dos 7.1, it's better
It's on Wengier's website
http://www.cn-dos.net/newdos/doswarel.html
That one, Microsoft Network Client 3.0

If you want to get online, just load rtspkt, then you can use arachne lynx ftp telnet and other tools

Wow, the net command can't be used for this
->Why can't it be used here? When I type net /? it has an introduction to net use right there

Try using LSL.COM NETX.EXE RTSODI.COM IPXODI.COM (they're on that Realtek floppy)
Load them in order: lsl rtsodi ipxodi
->Where are these programs? Do they need parameters? That's the same as not saying anything

I downloaded it. This is an installer under DOS. Dizzy. After installing it locally, my machine has 98 and XP installed, but after installation there was no response at all. It's even worse than under NT! Sigh, why is it so hard! If you can't explain it clearly, then just make me a floppy disk. This kind of helping is more frustrating than not helping at all, it's always incomplete!
