My system is WINXP PRO, and I installed the full installation floppy disk version of MS-DOS 7.10. Now I deleted the MS-DOS files from the hard drive, but there is still a dual-boot menu. I don't know how to remove that menu. Thanks!

I heard that in pure DOS state, some files that cannot be deleted under WINXP PRO can be completely deleted; also, I am relatively interested in DOS, so I installed the MS-DOS 7.10 floppy disk version. But I found that I still can't delete the files I want to delete in pure DOS, and after DOS starts, several files will be left in the root directory of drive C instead of all in the DOS own system folder. I feel a bit messy, so I deleted the DOS system folder and the above-mentioned files. After restarting, there is still a dual menu. So, I want to ask the webmaster and各位 DOS masters, how to deal with the dual boot menu? Thanks!

Modify boot.ini

Regarding the issue of deleting files that cannot be deleted under WinXP, is the deltree command used for deletion?

After DOS is installed, system files such as command.com, config.sys, autoexec.bat, logo.sys, etc., will naturally remain. These files are naturally not in the DOS installation folder.

Click "My Computer" - "Properties" - "Advanced" - "Startup and Fault" - "Settings 0" - "Edit" on the XP desktop, and then you can delete the unwanted startup item!
