What version of pure DOS is usually installed on our common computers, and what are the differences between it and the one built into Windows such as 98 (SE)? How can we check the version number of pure DOS? Thanks!

There is indeed no SYS command.不妨 write a general-purpose SYS program by yourself for the convenience of yourself and others.

That's not right! I heard that PC-DOS only supports FAT16. Also, the highest version of pure DOS for MS-DOS is 6.22, but how come there's 7.1 again?!

MS-DOS 7.1 is not a part of Windows 98. On my computer, there is only MS-DOS 7.1, and no Windows 98 at all. Internet Explorer is not a part of Windows 98, either.

dantyq: That refers to the older versions of PC-DOS. The latest version of PC-DOS, 7.1, supports FAT32.
