Computer experts:
My laptop is an ultra-thin model, with external CD-ROM and floppy drives on USB, and also a PC Card interface. A few days ago I formatted the hard disk, then booted with a Win98 system disk. I can get into DOS, but it just can't find the CD-ROM, so I can't install the system. Right now it can recognize the floppy drive, but it just won't recognize the external CD-ROM. This is really driving me crazy, so I'm asking all you experts to help me with an idea. How can I get the external CD-ROM recognized? Or is there some other way to install the system? If a PC Card CD-ROM can work, that's fine too, but I don't know how to make use of it. It would be best if you could be detailed, because my skills aren't very good. I'd be extremely grateful.
