Experts in computing:
My laptop is an ultra-thin model, and the CD-ROM and floppy drive are external USB devices. A few days ago I formatted the hard disk, then booted with a Windows 98 system disk. I can get into DOS, but I just can't find the CD-ROM, so I can't install the system. Right now it can recognize the floppy drive, but it just can't detect the external CD-ROM drive. It's really driving me crazy, so I'm asking all you experts to give me some advice. How can I get it to recognize the external CD-ROM drive? It's best if you can be a bit detailed, because my skills are not very good. I would be extremely grateful.
