Now USB flash drives are everywhere, and motherboards support booting from USB too, so could a boot disk be made for USB flash drives?
The advantage is that the capacity is much larger than a floppy, so it can hold more stuff and it’s not as easy to break.
The current ones are all 1.4MB in size. I think even making it 10MB would be fine... my USB flash drive is 64MB.
What I did was first install the admin’s boot disk onto a floppy, then use a USB flash drive utility to make the USB flash drive bootable.
Then I copied the files from the floppy onto the USB flash drive, and added some software I needed myself.
I think if you people made one, it definitely wouldn’t be like this — you would surely make an even better and more powerful boot disk.
I’m looking forward to it....
