I have an English manual
http://www.stefan2000.com/darkehorse/PC/DOS/Drivers/USB/readme.txt I compare it with the original text and find it a bit similar, right? I wonder which country's English the original text is? ---------- "motto hairu" DOS Driver ---------- This driver enables the "motto hairu" USB interface on DOS. The IEEE1394 interface cannot be used on DOS. There are three drivers as DOS drivers. USBASPI.SYS : USB1.1 mode ASPI Manager RAMFD.SYS : RAM DISK driver for USB floppy, if you have only a single USB port and need to access both. Di1000dd.SYS : ASPI HDD driver 1. If you do not have a USB floppy Copy the USBASPI.SYS and Di1000dd.SYS files and add the following 2 lines to the config.sys on the boot disk. device=USBASPI.SYS device=Di1000dd.SYS After that, connect the "motto hairu" to the USB port, then set this disk as the FDD, and power on the PC. 2. If you use a USB floppy Copy the USBASPI.SYS, Di1000dd.SYS and RAMFD.SYS files and add the following 3 lines to the config.sys on the boot disk. device=RAMFD.SYS device=USBASPI.SYS /W@@@@---@Use /R option if you have multiple USB ports device=Di1000dd.SYS And confirm device=himem.sys exists in config.sys. If you don't have it, add the following 4 lines. device=himem.sys device=RAMFD.SYS device=USBASPI.SYS /W device=Di1000dd.SYS When powering on, during booting, the contents of the FD are copied to the RAM disk, then, when the copy is completed, the following message will appear. =============================================== === Connect the target device to USB port. === === Press key. Booting will continue from the RAM disk. NOTE: 1) After changing the DOS mode by rebooting Windows, it will not work. You must power off once. 2) Option settings USBASPI.SYS has the following options. /R : Also access USB FDD. : RAMFD.SYS may be needed in some cases. /W : Prompt the following message for swapping floppy and device if you need to boot from USB floppy and have only one USB port =============================================== === Connect the target device to USB port. === @@ === Press -> -> . 2. Double click icon. 3. Click tab. 4. Double click . ************* Universal Host Controller means UHCI is used. ************* Open Host Controller means OHCI is used. Unfortunately, there are still one or two "gibberish" parts in the middle, which is not perfect!

If you don't, add the following 4 lines. DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS DEVICE=ramfd.sys DEVICE=usbaspi.sys /W DEVICE=di1000dd.sys When powered on, during boot, the contents of FD are copied to RAM disk, then, When the copy is complete, the following message will appear. =============================================== ===Connect target device to USB port. === ===Press [Enter] to continue. === =============================================== Then, disconnect the USB floppy from the USB port and connect "[User's motto, hairu]" to the USB port and Press [Enter] key. It is more DOS drivers -------------------------------------------------- The drivers are here for more USB interfaces to be used in DOS. If it's an IEEE1394 interface, DOS cannot use it. The drivers are the following three drivers. usbaspi.sys: usb1.1 mode ASPI manager. ramfd.sys: Only for USB port, USB floppy, and if you want to use and coexist with USB floppy, the RAM disk driver. di1000dd.sys: ASPI driver for hard disk. 1. If using USB floppy If you have a boot disk, copy usbaspi.sys and di1000dd.sys to the Config.sys file and add the following two lines at the end. DEVICE=usbaspi.sys DEVICE=di1000dd.sys For this change, connect to a USB port, set the boot disk to the FD and boot from the boot disk. 2. If using USB floppy 2 If you have a boot disk, copy usbaspi.sys, di1000dd.sys, ramfd.sys to the Config.sys file and add the following three lines at the end. DEVICE=ramfd.sys DEVICE=usbaspi.sys /W --- For multiple USB interfaces, USB floppy and products at the same time, if you can connect to the USB port, commercial/residential can be selected. DEVICE=di1000dd.sys Also, make sure to list DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS in Config.sys. If this section doesn't exist, add the following four lines. DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS DEVICE=ramfd.sys DEVICE=usbaspi.sys /W DEVICE=di1000dd.sys After successfully running the boot disk to start the process of FD and the content of the RAM disk copying is completed, the following message will appear. =============================================== ===Connect the target device to the USB port.=== ===Press [Enter] to continue.=== =============================================== When you receive this message, remove the USB floppy from the USB port, plug in a USB port, and press Enter. The PC will continue to start. (I made the RAM disk boot.) Note: 1) After restarting Windows, immediately entering DOS mode is not available. Make sure to power off the PC and start from the beginning. 2) Other optional settings: Set the following options for usbaspi.sys. Commercial/residential electricity: USB FD combined with related cases. : Depending on your PC, ramfd.sys may be needed. /W: USB floppy is accompanied by the demonstration port of the USB port, which is only 1 model from the floppy DOS (Windows) start, and the floppy and USB device can be used instead. The following message prompt is as follows. =============================================== ===Connect the target device to the USB port.=== ===Press [Enter] to continue.=== =============================================== /M=XX: ohci specifies memorimappuadoresu. The default search from this email address is d0000h to dffffh, which seems to be unused. For example) /M=D4: use d4000h. /P=xxx0: uhci I/O address you want. The controller's body BIOS I/O port address has been assigned the most when not specified. /V: various information. 3) For ohci cases, do not use emm386.exe as much as possible. If you are using umb or not using a set, set X=D000-DFFF ROM space expansion, please go out. 4) The BIOS of uhci and I/O port mechanism is not in the specified mode. Such a mode/P option I/O port must be specified. Supplement: About ohci and uhci. The USB standards of hosutokontororachippu are the following two. Universal Host Controller Interface = uhci Open Host Controller Interface = ohci Both are explained in detail here, and you can have your PC or both standards in the following way. 1. Start "-> [Settings (S)] -> [Control Panel (C)] button. 2. [System], double-click the icon. 3. In the Device Manager tab. 4.
