With the release of the latest version of DOSLFN, 0.32m, since it now fully supports both Chinese and English long filenames and is very stable and practical, this marks the end of the era of DOS not supporting long filenames.
The download link for the latest DOSLFN version 0.32m is: http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~heha/hs_freeware/doslfn.zip Note: DOSLFN works best when used in MS-DOS 7.10, with full support for FAT32 and large hard disks. Also, ROM-DOS 7.10 fully supports long filenames and FAT32, and is highly compatible with MS-DOS. |

Sorry, let me ask, how do I use this software? I really can't figure it out. What exactly is it used for? Is Doslfn.com alone enough? Thanks.

It provides a DOS long filename interface, allowing DOS programs to use long filenames, just like in a DOS box under Win9x. Just run DOSLFN.COM directly. It's best to run it under MS-DOS 7.x.
