How do you use telnet under DOS?

My IBM PC110 has a built-in hardware modem (2400B, you heard that right, B, a 2K modem) under Win95\98 it is recognized automatically, directly as "Built-in 2400B Modem"

How do I configure dialing? Asking for help!!

First use software like LSPPP to load the hardware modem's Packet driver, then just run Telnet.

Wengier really is a good guy!

After dialing with lsppp the modem makes sounds, but after a while it disconnects and shows no carrier

Not sure whether it has anything to do with the ADSL line

Pay attention to its parameters, things like the port, number, username, password, etc. must all be set correctly. If it often disconnects after connecting, then it's probably a line problem. You can try some Modem testing software.

Happy New Year, everyone, another question: dialing is working now, and ping www.163.com works too, but doslynx can't connect to any website at all. doslynx is the one posted on the forum a few days ago. If it's a doslynx problem, I hope the experts can give me a new one that's easy to use, preferably slimmed down and small in size, thanks

DOSLynx does not support DHCP, and it's very troublesome to configure (it took me a lot of effort to get it configured and able to go online), and the web page display is very poor. It's best to use the Lynx browser. I often use it under DOS to visit this forum. It is also very small, only needing the three files LYNX.EXE, LYNX.CFG, and WATTCP.CFG.

Wengier, package up those three files and upload them, please, thanks!

Also, does anyone know any websites or BBSes that can be accessed with telnet under DOS? Post a few good ones here

Why not search online? You should be able to find some.

Learn how to ask questions first.
Change your post title to something better.
In the future, posts with this kind of title may end up with only these three outcomes:
1。No one responds. (This is the best case.)
2。Moved to the off-topic posting section.
3。Deleted.
