Nowadays Linux is gradually becoming popular. I wonder what opinions you all have on it.

It is mainly still used on servers, and the general public basically doesn't know much about it.

In the near future, it will become mainstream.

Another way to observe the computer
A very professional system.

Linux can't become mainstream on ordinary computers, just as FreeDOS can't. Linux can share the world with Windows NT systems on servers.

Why not?? I don't think so like that. Linux has now added a window interface similar to Windows, and its functions are becoming more and more perfect. Also, its price, isn't it also a killer **weapon** to compete with Microsoft?

Linux is impossible, there are quite a few discussions on this aspect on the Internet. There was an article called "Top Ten Unfulfilled Technological Promises" not long ago on the Internet, which pointed out that "Linux will become mainstream on desktops" is completely wrong.

Hehe, Linux can certainly be the mainstream system for desktops. But first, the use of Linux needs to be made simpler, and some concepts need to be made more vague. But then, will it still be the Linux that real Linux enthusiasts like? At least I don't admit that it's still Linux. That can only be a system hyped up by everyone, another Windows. Then it's not as good as using Windows.

Not to mention whether it's still Linux after such a change, now Linux is gradually having a trend of being replaced by GNU-based Unix-like systems such as the X-Window graphical interface.

My current system is Linux! I don't think it's very easy to use! But they say its functions are very powerful!
Besides, now good companies' recruitments all require knowing Linux! I suggest everyone learn it later!
In short, I think this thing isn't very easy to use!

The Linux system is too complicated. Obviously, it is not suitable for ordinary users but for advanced people and servers. I have deeply experienced this point.

Linux is very strong in terms of performance, stability, and security. What it lacks is just ease of use. It is not a bad idea to give up some advanced server functions for ordinary users. Its future is very bright. Learning it will also make you have a new understanding of computers.
(Just because it can run continuously for 36 months, it is worth using. Windows just runs for a while and crashes by itself without doing anything. Tch)
