How do I use FINDRAMD.EXE, and are there any tools better and more convenient than it?
How can the virtual disk drive letter and CD-ROM drive letter be assigned automatically? |

Just run the FINDRAMD command directly. It can automatically put the CD-ROM drive letter into the variable %RAMDRIVE%, very handy. But the one in the MS-DOS 7.x boot disk that comes with Win9x doesn't work, it's too hard to use.

Are you specifying the CD-ROM or the virtual disk? If they are used at the same time, how should they be specified? How do you tell them apart? |

The way to specify the virtual disk drive letter is to specify it when creating the RAM disk with XMSDSK, for example: XMSDSK D:
The way to specify the CD-ROM drive letter is to specify it when creating the CD-ROM with MSCDEX, for example: MSCDEX /D:xx /L  |
