Since I mistakenly installed 98 and exited halfway, but when I restarted, there was an additional WIN98 installation item. How should I delete it? Thanks!

Delete the file c:\boot.ini. Just delete what's not needed. This file is read-only and hidden, so you need to remove those attributes first before making changes.

You find under XP, change the default system to boot with XP, and there is a , you don't need to select it, just be okay.

This is basically sufficient, or you can use Windows Optimization Master. There is an option in "Startup Speed", select the one for WinXP, and set the time to "Boot Directly" to achieve it.

Delete the boot.ini under the system disk. In XP, it is a system file and cannot be seen. You can type the system disk\boot.ini in the Run to see it. Delete the useless entries.

Right-click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop, select "Properties" to open it. Select the "Advanced" option. There is an "Edit" option above this one, open it. Delete the startup item of 98 here. Note that you need to click "Save" after deleting.
