You need some drivers, and many BIOSes support it too.

So far I haven't found any USB flash drive that can be supported by DOS. Of course, when you boot DOS from a bootable USB flash drive, it can be used.
DUSE can support USB CD-ROM drives and hard disks, but it's not that good either. |

USB4DOS might be able to drive a USB flash drive, but I haven't found anywhere to download it.

DUSE4.4 can support USB hard disks very well, really. I'm using a new USB2.0 hard disk now and it can support that too.
