I just bought a USB external hard drive from Aigo, and I want it to boot directly into DOS like a hard disk. I'd like to ask the webmaster and everyone here: is it possible to boot MS-DOS directly from a USB external hard drive without using a CD to boot? If so, I wonder whether its settings are the same as CD boot settings.
Many thanks to the webmaster and all friends here!

The key still depends on whether your motherboard supports it.
Check whether there is such an item in the boot order settings in the BIOS.
I also have an external hard drive that can't be made into a boot disk.
But if you load the USB driver when booting DOS, you can still use it.
A floppy disk, hard disk, or a CD you burn yourself can all load its driver at startup.
