Chinese and Western FOXBASE+ — the management system famous throughout China
/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOXBASE+ was improved on the basis of the dBASEⅢ relational database management system, so it not only has the advantages of dBASEⅢ such as strong data management functions, flexible program design, and convenient programming, but also overcomes weaknesses of dBASEⅢ such as relatively weak computing capability, slower processing speed, no arrays or user-defined functions, and no graphics or multi-user functions (dBASEⅢPIUS has networking functions). At present, FOXBASE+ has many Chinese-localized versions such as 1.00, 1.10, 1.12, 2.00, and 2.10. FOXBASE+ has the following features: 1. Fast processing speed: the processing speed of FOXBASE+2.10 is about 8 times that of dBASEⅢ; the processing speed of version FOXBASE+2.00 is also about 7 times that of dBASEⅢ; 2. Broad application environment: all functions of FOXBAE+ are applicable to IBM PC/XT, AT, 286, 386, and various compatibles; 3. It can automatically create index files: when FOXBASE+ executes compiled files, it can automatically generate index files; 4. Menus can be defined: FOXBASE2.10 has three menu definition methods—highlight bar, pull-up, and pull-down—which make things convenient for users, and the generated interface is attractive; 5. Arrays can be defined: FOXBASE+ can define one- and two-dimensional arrays, making up for the shortcoming that dBASEⅢ cannot use arrays. |

I also liked FOXBASE very much, and even managed by every possible means to get it to use a mouse.

FOXBASE itself doesn't support a mouse, but I have indeed heard there is a program that can make it support a mouse. But is that really useful? Better to use FOXPRO.

Actually, with MouseClip you can also use a mouse under FoxBase, but Microsoft's FoxPro really is quite good.
