Moderator, why is there no one answering?

Please be more specific, so that countermeasures can be listed.

站长Wengier:
Hello! I have to bother you again.
TW.EXE has a screen garbled problem, and the one on the ADD-ON disk is the same, only PDOS is normal. Let's not mention this first. I think it's probably because the VIA4IN1 driver is not installed. Later, I installed WINME on the basis of this DOS71, and a new problem occurred: only ME can be started (there are only 4 menu items when pressing F8: 1. NORMAL; 2. SAVE MODE; 3....LOG; 4. STEP BY STEP, and there is no DOS item).
May I ask how to add the DOS menu option? I hope to have a detailed answer. TKS!
(By the way, I originally wanted to install DOS + WIN2K, but because some files couldn't be copied when installing WIN2K, I re-formatted and then installed DOS, and then ME.)

Thank you very much, boss!
I have successfully installed it. I chose the full installation at that time, but I didn't put the contents from disk 2 in the same directory as disk 1 before installation, so the installation couldn't find the contents of disk 2, so I skipped disk 2 during the installation. Now I want to add the contents of disk 2, and also that mini win98 GUI, I heard of this thing for the first time and want to try it. Please tell me how to add this thing.
Thanks for informing
I am using XP system, on drive C, and DOS is installed in e:\dos71

My situation is the same as that of post 99. After installing DOS 7.1 under XP, there is no response when entering DOS. What should I do?

I already have a solution to this problem now, but it hasn't been added to the installation program for the time being.

Is it in English after installation?
If I replace the programs of this version with those Chinese localized versions, is that okay?

The boot disks from this website don't work for me, but the Me and 98 boot disks do. Please give experts some pointers.

This problem is actually caused by the fact that the first part (about 1KB) of the IO.SYS file and the subsequent parts are not stored continuously on the disk. Obviously, this will only occur when there are many disk fragments and the space is relatively small. Currently, the best manual solution is to perform a DEFRAG (disk defragmentation) on the disk before or after installing DOS.
