: Wow! There are so many experts! I'm a freshman now. I got in touch with DOS by chance. Although it's only been a few months, I'm almost obsessed... I also went to the bookstore to look for books about DOS, but I didn't find any... Finally found a forum and saw so many experts are old-timers. Even I haven't been born yet, the experts were already playing with DOS. Hey... really regret not getting in touch with DOS earlier! I'm a newbie. I wrote down the uncle's email and hope to ask questions if I have any problems...

That's amazing, I'm in awe. I always thought I had a half-baked understanding of DOS, but it seems I didn't even scratch the surface.

There are several levels of development:
Direct IO operation type
BIOS call type
System call (DOS) type
DLL reference type
Which type are you?

I first use system calls, then BIOS, then IO. I found that there are too few IO materials, and finally returned to BIOS. I directly used BIOS to write a multi-boot program.
