In view of the spirit of being responsible to netizens, the dspt test version is released, with a time limit until 2007.3.1. The disk reading and writing function of this version can handle DOS drives, such as A:, B:, C:, D:.... I haven't updated the help information.

In this version, the problem of garbled display of the volume label of the unformatted partition is solved.

By March 1st, if no one reports bugs, I will release the version without time limit. This is mainly to prevent the spread of problematic versions.

Actually, this thing is a bit complicated,

Partition image restoration to partition
Partition image restoration to disk
Disk image restoration to disk
A partition of a disk image restored to partition

The destination disk is brand new and has no MBR / The destination disk already has an MBR

Ghost will also handle the Partition Table without overwriting the MBR, so which part does it start operating from, 1B8 or 1BE?

And the failure is not only limited to when using Ghost

The target disk is brand new also...

If you want to keep the MBR, add the -pmbr parameter;
To keep the DISKID, add the -fdsp parameter;
To clear the DISKID, add the -fdsz parameter;

The picture was captured in a virtual machine.
But those without partitions are all 00.
In this case, you still have the same ID, heh heh. Just add one and not the other.

Brother 19951001, are you sure this version is uploaded correctly?
I downloaded it twice, and it couldn't run in the virtual machine, prompting "Read Disk Error!"
While in the same virtual system, the version from December 28 worked without issues. The running parameters are all simple

dspt 0 /l

The startup environment is also exactly the same. I replaced the above two versions back and forth, and it's all like this.

The uploaded version is the latest one. I don't have a virtual machine test environment here, and all tests are conducted on a real system. I will review the code again to see where the problem is.

Which version are you using, the one on floor 1 or the one on floor 107?

Did other netizens also encounter the same problem?

Why was the /NOEXT parameter removed?
I need this parameter right now, and it's gone in the new version. It's okay that there's no /ghost; it can be handled simply.

By default, the total extended partition is not displayed, which is the previous /NOEXT.
The parameter /EXT is added to display the total extended partition.

There is actually no change, but the default value is the opposite of before.

The 06.12.05 WIN32 version with the added /noext parameter you want.

The problem still exists when testing in VMWare for version 2007.1.22, but it's okay on the real machine.

The code of the version on floor 107 is basically the same as that on floor 1. I haven't found out why it's okay in the actual environment but has problems in the virtual machine yet.

Give me some time, and I will figure out what the problem is.
