I downloaded it several times and used winrar to open it but couldn't. It said the format was incorrect or the file was corrupted!!

If WinRAR doesn't work, use the 7-Zip file manager to extract it. It's easy to use and free. Others can all extract it.

I loaded the sound card driver, and QV2.45 can play MP3 music, and it seems the sound quality is pretty good.

But MPlayer is not okay. It can play videos, but there is no sound. I don't know why.

If I use MPlayer to play MP3, it will show information like not finding the driver, and then exit.

I tried it on my home computer, it seems that the driver cannot be found or something. I can only report to you tonight when I get home.

The information that appears is:
First, Out of enviroment space
Then a black screen, and then the following appears
WSOCK32:NO PACKET DRIVER FOUND.
ao_win32:unable to open wave mapper device (result=6)
Could not open/initialize audio device -->no sound

2. In pure DOS state (without any autoexec.bat and config.sys files)
The Out of enviroment space information does not appear
The following is the same, black screen, then the ao... two lines of information appear, and then exit.

Out of environment space means that there is not enough environment variable space. It is recommended to increase the /E parameter value of COMMAND.COM. For example, change the original /E:256 to /E:512 or /E:1024.

It is normal to have a black screen when starting to play because it is preparing the video. The key line is "Could not open/initialize audio device -->no sound", indicating that the sound card cannot be found. I don't know what the sound card is? Please check whether the driver and BLASTER environment variable are set correctly.

The sound card should be via ac97, because I was able to get QV to play sound only after loading the ac97 sound card driver.

This sound card is integrated on the Gigabyte GA-7VA-C motherboard.

Then it may still be a compatibility issue or setting issue of the driver. Try this GETSB program to see if it can detect the sound card normally:

"no Sound Blaster found" is the key, meaning no sound card is found. If GETSB can't find the sound card, then MPlayer can't either. Please check if there are compatibility or setting issues with the sound card driver. (Judging from the BLASTER environment variable, it seems the setting is incomplete. I'm not sure if the driver simulates a lower version of SB; however, I don't have that sound card, so I haven't tried it.)

Really don't know how to set it up, in a helpless state......

Tried it, but the playback speed is very slow. Don't know what's going on
