The following is the speech of oceandeep on 2003-6-12 10:47:49:
How can I display Chinese folders after booting the computer with msdos71?

First, enter the XZL command under DOS, and then you can have a look.

Moderator: Please ask a question. I am using Windows 98 operating system and Office XP software. The Chinese and Western fonts are not displayed in the font drop-down menu in WORD, but they are displayed in EXCEL. In addition, in this case, the fonts are also not displayed in WPS. How to solve it?

Super Moderator:
The super general MS-DOS 7.10 bootable disk, very good!!!!! But I can't make it work on the IBM 6824-K7C. The original system hard disk is divided into three partitions, all in NTFS format, and the C drive has WIN2K installed. After multiple boots, I find that before creating the XMSDSK disk, I must read the C drive first, and the C drive is in NTFS format, while reading the NTFS format requires the XMSDSK disk. Is there a contradiction between the front and the back? Please give me some advice, moderator. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wengier:
Hello!
I used the "Super DOS Boot Disk" you made today. The function is quite powerful and convenient, but I need to back up a hard disk with NTFS file format for work needs and also be able to restore it. But your this one cannot perform NTFS write operations, and the same is true for finding other patch programs. I wonder if you can provide an NTFS driver or patch program that can both read and write! Thanks a lot!

Then it is estimated that similar situations will occur on individual computers. Because I have also tried it without a hard disk or with a hard disk in NTFS format, and there is no problem.

Just arrived, this is indeed a good place to learn about DOS. My machine has no floppy drive, and I tried to burn the "Super Universal MS-DOS 7.10 Boot Disk" to a CD using NERO, but wasted several discs and don't dare to burn anymore.

也许DOS有些难,可是我很想学会DOS

MS-DOS 7.10 does not support Chinese input, which is its biggest shortcoming. The others are okay. However, I downloaded a bootable disk that can support Chinese input. After trial, the effect is very good and I burned it into a CD bootable disk. The test is also very good.

It's not that MS-DOS 7.10 doesn't support Chinese input, but that I didn't add input methods like Pinyin. In fact, it's very easy to add them. But the区位 input method (radical-phonetic input method) can be used.

I don't know which version to post in.

This problem has troubled me for a long time. That is, when using Norton Clone Tools, the enterprise version of the DOS boot disk is made by modifying the batch file with the production program of the personal version. When you clone the clone disc to the hard disk, you can boot from the CD and directly run the GHOST program. But when cloning the system (WINDOWS) backup, you can only boot from DOS. Why???
Hope the big shots can give some pointers.

Can the moderator make it for flash memory? I don't have a floppy drive. Actually, the moderator can make several versions of boot disks for flash memory. After all, this is popular now. Without considering the capacity factor, it would be great to add support for common network cards like 8139 or 8029 and so on.
