I am also using an INTEL AC97 sound card. After playing, the program can display that the playback is normal, but there is no sound from the speakers! What's the matter? Do I still need to load the AC97DOS driver before?

It is not enough to make the program resident; it is necessary to provide corresponding standard APIs for application programs in accordance with the general sound card driver. In this day and age, there is no need to engage in DOS anymore. There are a large number of people who can write driver programs. Who would spend time on useless things?
