Writing to the MBR is indeed good. But if the motherboard doesn't support it or the anti-virus mechanism of a new motherboard is enabled, the code written to the MBR will be lost after restart. I've installed such machines in many cases. The first restart works normally, but later it won't start. Also, if you reinstall the system for some reason, you still need to rewrite the MBR, which is equally troublesome. For beginners, simplicity is better ~~~~~~~~~~~~

GRUB4dos is really good, and I'm trying to lurk, it's a bit difficult.

Don't want to write to MBR, still afraid, or start GRUB with DOS is more reassuring.

I think the advantage of writing GRUB to the MBR is truly achieving one - key system recovery. I know that grubinst is used to write to the MBR and set the boot hotkey, but I don't dare to use it because I'm not familiar with the usage of this command.
