A big USB drive is best in ZIP format, but I can't boot it

Just a few minutes. If the boot disk and XP are not put together to make a GHO, I feel XP can't really break. If it's infected, use antivirus; if not, clear it out. Other than damaging it yourself, it won't break.

The manufacturing standards of each USB drive maker probably aren't the same. The main issue is that boot disks you make aren't universal... Some computers can boot from them, while others can't... Compatibility isn't very good. If it's only for your own computer then there's no problem, but if you want to use it to maintain all computers, it'll put you in an awkward spot. Maybe your USB drive just can't boot someone else's computer...
