LINUX has one thing to learn from countering Mainsoft. No matter what, let you use it first. When there are more users and a standard is formed, the functions will gradually become powerful. In fact, there were originally systems better than Mainsoft, but now they have all disappeared

I think the two main advantages of LINUX: 1 Free, 2 Open source code (this is the fatal flaw of Mainsoft). If the ease of use is the same, then the end of the lid is coming. Now, in order to make the Chinese government use his system, the lid is willing to open the source code. For what? Just to let you use it first, and then... Hehe, "bring money here"....... Smart!

I've been using Red Hat since version 7.0. Personally, I think it has more potential than Windows. It's stable, has few viruses, and can improve my own skills more.

The following is a quote from xiangyuan on 2003-8-3 22:15:38:
Dear friends, may I ask, under what operating system does Linux run?

Come on, LINUX is just LINUX.

Linux, I think it is worth everyone to learn first, starting from the older commands, which will be more useful. Only by learning the basics well can we achieve a qualitative leap.

I also really want to learn Linux, but I don't know anything about Linux at all. I wonder if I can learn it well and apply it.

Master Wengier, please introduce a Linux that can be installed on a 486. My 486 is 100MH, with a 1G hard disk and 12M memory. Also, for my business machine which is P4 2.0Gh, 60G hard disk, 256M memory, which version of Linux is better? I have never used Linux before, just heard of it, and I don't know Linux commands. Please give me some advice.

Why is it so deserted? In front of Linux, it's simply a deserted place. No one answers my questions. I successfully installed Linux but don't know how to use it. When I deleted Linux, the hard drive became completely empty. I'm so sad 55555555555

I think it's impossible. One of my classmates wanted to install it for fun, but kept saying something about incompatibility with hardware. Personally, I still side with Microsoft~~~~!

LINUX is good, but the usability is poor. Sometimes Windows crashes even when opening Paint.

Linux operating systems and Windows operating systems are mainstream operating systems. For novices, since Linux is less user-friendly than Windows in terms of operation and convenience, many novices don't even know about the Linux operating system yet!

LINUX can indeed not become a home-oriented system like WINDOWS, because of the limitations of the LINUX kernel itself and the LINUX system, it is impossible to become a simpler system than WINDOWS. Systems based on UNIX are all impossible. But as a server, WINNT will never be comparable to the UNIX series.
Maybe DOS and BEOS have some hope. But I still have more hope for BEOS, because BEOS is a fully graphical (including kernel) OS, and the original intention was to design a multimedia OS, and it is very possible to become a home system; and because of its own simplicity and operability, DOS also has the hope of popularization with a relatively user-friendly desktop system (in fact, it has been popularized many years ago).
